Barcelona unable to sign players due to FIFA Fair Play Rules—Deco

Barcelona’s Director of Football has revealed the reasons why Barcelona is unable to sign players this transfer window. The former Barcelona midfielder disclosed that the club is affected by the FIFA Financial Play rule.

“Financial Fair Play is affecting many clubs, and we’re unable to complete any signing now, it’s the reality”.

Deco, when asked if Xavi could face a sack following a sloppy start this season, Deco responded by describing the situation as “Nonsense”.

“Xavi’s job is at risk. It’s nonsense. Xavi has full confidence from all of us at Barcelona, for sure”.

“We’re sad, but one defeat will not change our plan”.

Barcelona was beaten by Real Madrid last night during the Spanish Super Cup played in Saudi Arabia by a 4-1 result.

Barcelona sits in fourth place in the La Liga table with 41 points after 19 games with a game at hand.
