Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, the esteemed member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in Oyo State, has passed away at the age of 51.
The news of his untimely death, announced by the House of Representatives, has come as a shock to many.
Hon. Akinremi, also known for his role as Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions, reportedly succumbed to a brief illness early Wednesday morning.
His tenure in office was marked by unwavering dedication to public service and advocacy for policies promoting social welfare and economic growth.
Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, expressed profound sadness at the loss, describing Hon. Akinremi as a beacon of dedication and service. He stated, “Rep. Akinremi Olaide Adewale was a beacon of dedication and service. His contributions to our legislative work, especially in the area of science and research, were invaluable.”
House Spokesman, Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr., reacted by stating, “Until his demise, the Oyo legislator was a dedicated public servant known for his unwavering commitment to the development of his constituency and the country at large.”
