Brigadier General Paul Zawaya, the leader of the 23 Brigade, recently welcomed Commissioner of Police Adamawa, CP Dancombo Morris, to the Headquarters 23 Brigade in Gibson Jalo Cantonment Yola, Adamawa State’s capital.
During their meeting, Brigadier General Zawaya stressed the importance of cooperation and collaboration among all security agencies to ensure the peace and security of Adamawa State’s residents.
He promised Commissioner CP Dancombo his full support and cooperation, emphasizing his commitment to an open-door policy of friendship and collaboration, operating 24 hours a day.
According to him, cooperation among security agencies is essential to unite the country for the better.
Brigadier General Zawaya also emphasized the need for the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force, along with other security agencies, to work together and strive towards a common goal: creating a safe society where businesses can thrive.
Commissioner CP Dancombo, accompanied by his management team, explained that his visit aimed to interact with the Brigade and seek more support and cooperation to strengthen the existing relationship between the Brigade and the Police Command.
He mentioned that the Headquarters 23 Brigade was one of his first stops after assuming duty on February 14, 2024.
CP Dancombo emphasized that security is everyone’s responsibility and that the Nigeria Police Force cannot combat insecurity alone; it requires the support of other security agencies, especially the Nigerian Army. Thus, the synergy with the leadership of 23 Brigade is crucial.
He expressed appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted the excellent relationship the State Command has enjoyed with the Nigerian Army over time.
He also reassured his commitment to maintaining and enhancing this relationship for effective policing of the state.
The visit included presentations of momentos, signing of the visitors book, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
