17 years old Yusuf Abdullahi scores 5 goals for Kano Pillars against Gombe United

17 years old Kano Pillars forward, Yusuf Abdullahi, scored five goals when the Sai Masu Gida pulled the biggest away victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

With one more goal, Yusuf would have tied Samuel Edem Eduok who remains the only player in the history of the NPFL to have scored the most goal in a single game (6). Emem Edouk put 6 goals past Nembe City during a NPFL game Dolphins won by 6-0 in 2014.

Yusuf had scored a hat-trick before half time, scoring four in 11, 14, 33, 45+10 minutes respectively. Gombe reduced goals deficit scoring two also before the half via Shuaibu’s and Jimohs brilliant strikes. During the second half, Yusuf extended his goals to 5, scoring one more in the 60th minute.

In his appearances this season for Sai Masu Gida, Yusuf has 5 goals to his name – only Robert Mizo (9) of Bayelsa United and Sikiru Alimi (9) of Remo Stars has more goals than the young Prodigy.

Kano Pillars with the emphatic triumph over Gombe at the Pantami Stadium to 7th place with 16 points while Gombe dropped to 16th position on the log with just a point off the relegation zone.
