The Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, CON, paid a visit to his counterpart, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, in Maiduguri on Saturday.Â
The visit was aimed at expressing sympathy and support following the devastating flood that recently struck parts of Maiduguri, the state capital.
Governor Buni, during his visit, announced a significant donation to assist those affected by the flood.
He pledged N100 million in cash along with food items worth N50 million, bringing the total contribution to N150 million.
This donation is intended to provide much-needed relief to victims who have been severely impacted by the disaster, which has claimed lives and displaced many residents.
The floods, which have continued to affect parts of Maiduguri, have left several families mourning the loss of their loved ones, while many others have been forced to flee their homes.
The situation has caused widespread destruction and disruption, with local authorities and aid organizations working tirelessly to offer assistance to those in need.
Governor Buni’s visit and donation were part of ongoing efforts to support the recovery and rehabilitation of affected communities in Maiduguri.
