Two UniAbuja students secure N1.5m grant for research

Two undergraduate students from the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) have achieved a significant milestone by securing a substantial grant totaling N1,522,980 to conduct research in their respective areas of interest. 
Ajewole Peter Tosin and Muhammed Halima Idris, both enrolled in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, will spearhead their teams of researchers in their ambitious projects.
Tosin’s research team will delve into the application of low-green technology to preserve beans and maize, with a particular focus on enhancing food security.
 On the other hand, Halima Idris and her fellow researchers will explore the efficacy of orange peels as natural repellants for mosquitoes.
The announcement of this achievement was made via a post on UniAbuja’s official Facebook page, celebrating the remarkable accomplishment of these two students.
The grant, awarded by the University’s Centre for Undergraduate Research (CUR), signifies not only the students’ dedication and academic prowess but also the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of research and innovation among its student body.
