
She discovered her love for acting at the age of eight when she appeared in the TV series Ripples. After completing secondary school in 1997, she immediately began auditioning for film roles.

Her first film appearance came in 1999’s Most Wanted, which starred Regina Askia, Ayo Adesanya, and Ibinabo Fiberesima. She played a minor role as a reporter.

In 2000, she enrolled in a part-time Creative Arts program at the University of Lagos. However, she later dropped out as she struggled to balance studies with her growing acting career, choosing instead to focus fully on acting.

In 2004, she became the Face of Lux, joining a global line-up of beauty icons who have represented the brand, including Marilyn Monroe, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Patti Boulaye.

That same year, she made her stage debut in Private Lies, performing alongside respected theatre practitioners such as Najite Dede, Solomon Oguname, and Femi Branch.

She briefly ventured into music in 2005, releasing her debut album One Logologo Line. The most popular track, No More, drew attention for its bold lyrics. She also held a well-received debut concert in Sierra Leone.

In 2008, she launched her fashion label, St. Genevieve, a charitable initiative that channels its proceeds into philanthropic causes.

In 2009, media mogul Oprah Winfrey famously referred to her as the “Julia Roberts of Africa,” a comparison that significantly boosted her international profile.

Her close friend is Onyinye Carter, CEO of MUD Cosmetics. She later became part of the MUD Cosmetics family, serving as the brand’s Face of MUD in 2010.

In 2011, she was honored by the Nigerian government as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) for her outstanding contribution to Nollywood.
