Stephanie Coker Aderinokun Opens Up About Life-Threatening Struggle with PCOS and Failed IVF

Actress and media celebrity Stephanie Coker Aderinokun has talked about her terrifying experience with IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), which resulted in the death of her unborn child.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she revealed that she almost took her own life after her second round of IVF failed. She had spent over $40,000 and traveled to Los Angeles for the procedure.

After the failed IVF, Stephanie confided in a friend, expressing her sorrow and feeling that the baby had rejected her.

Stephanie explained that IVF was her only option due to her severe PCOS, a condition that caused excessive bleeding, fainting, and multiple hospital visits. She described being confined to a wheelchair and, at one point, having to sleep outside in the garden due to intense internal heat.

On top of her health issues, her husband lost his election that same year, adding to their challenges.

“I didn’t have my period for a whole year. PCOS made me choose IVF because my condition was very severe. My doctor told me it was life-threatening; I ended up in a wheelchair and was vomiting blood.

“I got pregnant on the first IVF, but the second one failed. I was so devastated that I stood in front of a car, wanting it to hit me,” she shared.Stephanie Coker Aderinokun Opens Up About Life-Threatening Struggle with PCOS and Failed IVF
