Rangers FC To Pay One Million Naira Over Misconduct

The authorities of the Nigeria Premier Football League have given Rangers FC 48 hours to appeal or accept the sanction placed on them, which requires them to pay a total of One Million Naira for breaching the Nigeria Premier Football League Framework & Rules.

This sanction followed a match between Abia Warriors and Rangers FC of Enugu on Sunday, November 25th, 2023, where it was alleged that some officials of Rangers brought the game to disrepute due to a harsh reaction to provocations by Abia Warriors, the home team.

The NPFL considered such actions as misconduct under its rules and directed Rangers FC to identify and discipline the officials involved in the act of misconduct. Additionally, they are required to pay a fine of One Million Naira.
