Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has left the England Euros squad due to family reasons, as reported by the English FA.
The FA confirmed that Foden was granted permission to attend to a pressing family matter, but no further details were provided about his return to the team in Germany.
“Foden returned to the UK for a pressing family matter and was granted permission,” the FA confirmed.
Foden, 24, has played in all three of England’s group games in the Euros, missing only one minute of action.
