Peller Swears ‘Die If You Cheat’ Oath With Jarvis, Reveals Teen Assault

Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, known online as Peller, and his fiancée Elizabeth Amadou, known as Jarvis, shared intimate bits about themselves ahead of their wedding on August 1, 2026.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, released Monday, July 20, 2026, the couple discussed the terms of their relationship and the trust they say holds it together. Jarvis explained that faithfulness in their relationship carries a spiritual weight, since the pair pray together and consider their bond guided by God. She said the arrangement leaves little room for betrayal, noting, “there is no reason to cheat.”

Peller went further, revealing that he had once suggested sealing their commitment with a blood pact, an idea he said he picked up from a video on TikTok. Jarvis turned the idea down. She said the only covenant they observe is one made with God, not through any physical ritual.

The podcast appearance also gave Peller, who is 21 years old, a chance to speak about something he had kept private for years. He said that as a teenager, he was sexually assaulted by a 40-year-old woman at a friend’s house. He explained that he never told his parents about the incident because they had already warned him against visiting that particular home, and admitting what happened would have meant confessing that he disobeyed them. He said the experience left him with physical reactions during school hours that he could not control, which reduced him to tears at the time.

Peller also spoke about the reasoning behind the wedding itself. He said his own parents had children without getting married, and he wants his relationship with Jarvis to break that pattern in his family. “Whether I get married at 30 or now, the responsibilities I’d carry then are the same ones I’ll carry and fulfill starting today,” he said.

Reaction to the podcast episode has been divided. Many listeners praised Peller for speaking openly about his assault, pointing to how rarely Nigerian men discuss such experiences in public. Others focused on the couple’s spiritual pact, with some wishing the marriage well and others questioning whether a vow of this kind can hold over time.

The conversation carried over to X, where users traded opinions on the spiritual pact between the couple. One user, @BUQASZN, wrote that they hoped the marriage lasts and asked for God’s blessing on the union. Another user, @Shiva470487490, joked that the arrangement sounded more like it needed a formal agreement than a spiritual one. A different user, @iamsilverboi11, urged Peller to reconsider the relationship altogether. Several other commenters were more doubtful, suggesting that promises made under similar circumstances have not always held up over time.

Peller proposed to Jarvis during a trip to Accra, Ghana, in June 2026, and a video of the moment circulated widely online. Wedding preparations are already underway, with Peller earlier disclosing that the asoebi for guests costs ₦700,000.
