Nigerian Air Force Destroys Terrorist Logistics Base in Borno, Kills Scores

—

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a successful airstrike on a terrorist logistics base at Dabar Masara in the Southern Tumbuns area of Monguno Local Government Area, Borno State, killing many insurgents.

The strike was conducted on Sunday, December 14, 2025, as part of ongoing military operations aimed at disrupting terrorist activities and supply networks in the North-East.
NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was carried out by the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai after receiving credible intelligence about a terrorist workshop and the movement of armed fighters in the area.
According to him, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions had earlier revealed frequent terrorist movements and a large number of vehicles hidden under vegetation, confirming Dabar Masara as an active terrorist logistics hub.
He explained that further surveillance on the day of the operation confirmed the presence of the terrorists, who were seen moving around the area and near the concealed vehicles.
“After positive identification and in line with the Rules of Engagement, the targets were engaged,” Ejodame said.
He added that a post-operation assessment showed that the vehicles were destroyed and several terrorist fighters were neutralised.
The NAF spokesman stressed that the successful operation highlights the Air Force’s commitment to intelligence-led and precise airstrikes to weaken terrorist groups and improve security in troubled parts of the country.
