Pastor Daniel Olukoya, general overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has celebrated 16-year-old Osasere Okundaye after she was recognized as Nigeria’s youngest chartered accountant.
Olukoya shared a video of their meeting on his social media pages on Saturday, July 4, 2026, showing him with Okundaye and members of her family. He prayed with her during the visit.

In a statement posted alongside the video, Olukoya wrote: “Today, we celebrate with one of our own, Osasere Okundaye, as she shares the inspiring testimony of becoming Nigeria’s youngest Chartered Accountant at just 16 years old. This extraordinary achievement stands as a powerful testament to God’s faithfulness and what can be accomplished through diligence, discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.” He added that her journey proves “age is never a barrier to greatness” and prayed she would go “from glory to glory.”
Addressing the congregation, Okundaye explained that she began preparing for the exams of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) three years ago, after completing secondary school early. She said her parents encouraged her to pursue the ICAN route through the Accounting Technicians Scheme (ATS) rather than wait until she reached the typical age for university admission.
She described the process as difficult at first. “The exam at the first level proved very difficult, more difficult than it was for others at the same level. I had to put in extra effort, and with the grace of God I was able to pass that first level,” she said. She added that she failed one of her final papers last year and had to retake it during the May 2026 exam sitting, which she passed. “Now I can say that I am a qualified accountant of the institute at 16 years old,” she said.
Reactions to her testimony have circulated online. One commenter, Bishop Mudiaga Emmanuel Ibini, wrote that she “spoke well as a young star” and described her foundation as strong. Another, Ola Jumoke, praised her honesty about failing and retaking a paper, saying it was refreshing compared to others who “hype their stories.”
However, not all comments were congratulatory. One user, Olumide Babarinsa, questioned whether pushing a child through advanced professional exams at speed is good for her development. He suggested that public celebration of the achievement may add unnecessary pressure rather than support healthy growth.
Osasere Okundaye is currently a member of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), led by Pastor Daniel Olukoya.
