Lagos HOS Tasks HR Leaders On Technology, Innovation 

Directors of Administration and Human Resources in the State Public Service have been advised to be on top of their games to achieve exceptional performance in the modern-day administration and human resource practice, by embracing technology and innovation.

Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro gave this admonition at the HR Sensitization exercise held recently at Alausa and organised by the State Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation (OTCI), adding that the theme for the exercise; “Empowering HR Leaders: Driving Exceptional Performance in the State Public Service”, is geared towards addressing one of the most vital areas through which so many Government transformational policies are driven in the State Public Service.

He noted that by revitalising the five divisions of Admin and Human Resource, there will be assurance for employee productivity and job satisfaction, improved service delivery and citizen engagement, adding that transparency and accountability will strengthen the position as a model Public Service.

Agoro urged HR leaders to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development, advising that they should align performance management with organization goals and objectives as they ensure competitive compensation and benefits to promote employee relations and engagement.

In her address, the Director-General, Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation OTCI), Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa said that participants are expected to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the platform to interact, exchange views and share experiences while mixing and bonding in a way that would create synergies for a mutually and collectively beneficial future in the public service.

The platform also provided an opportunity for the participants to interact, exchange views and share experiences with a quintessential Public Speaker and a major player in Public Service reform, the erstwhile Permanent Secretary from Lagos State Public Service, Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye.
