The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has announced that it will not prosecute rapper and music executive Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, despite new video footage showing him allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie, in a Los Angeles hotel hallway.
The office stated that if the incident occurred in 2016, it cannot be prosecuted now because it falls outside the legal time limit for assault charges.
Additionally, the office mentioned that law enforcement has not presented any case related to the video against Diddy.
However, the LA Attorney’s office encouraged victims and witnesses to report incidents to law enforcement or seek help from the Bureau of Victims Services.
The video, obtained by CNN, reportedly shows Diddy repeatedly kicking and throwing objects at Cassie in 2016. This footage comes amid several sexual assault charges against Diddy.
