Kaduna starts giving out N3.4bn worth of grains to needy locals

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has started the second part of giving food to people who need it in the state.

He said they will give out rice and maize worth N3.4 billion. The governor also said they will give out palliatives worth N11.4 billion to families, businesses, and workers who are having a hard time.

He promised to keep helping the poor and needy in the state. They plan to start the third part of their help soon. The governor said they will give out a lot of things to help people.

“We shall continue to take all necessary measures to bring succour to the poor and vulnerable in our state,”.

“In the next two months, we shall commence the implementation of the third phase of our palliatives programme. It’s a full package.”

They started giving out 128 trucks of rice and maize. They aim to help 200,000 families, which is about 1,000,000 people in total.

“Today we are commencing the distribution of 128 trucks of rice and maize worth N3.4 billion to the poor, vulnerable, and underserved citizens of Kaduna State.

The government is also giving money to small businesses. They are giving between N100,000 and N1 million to businesses depending on their size.

They have set aside N4.2 billion to help farmers and small businesses. They also gave out N3.3 billion to help retired workers and families of deceased workers.

The government has started giving N50,000 to 9,800 poor families. They also set up a loan scheme for civil servants to help them financially.

The governor warned officials not to steal the help meant for people. If anyone is caught stealing, they will be punished.
