The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has established its state collation centre at its headquarters in Awka ahead of the collation of results from the Anambra governorship election.
The News Chronicle gathered that the INEC office on Saturday confirmed that the centre has been fully set up within the commission’s premises.
Reports revealed that the commission would begin receiving results from the 21 local government areas as soon as they are ready.
While Anambra boasts a fair road network, officials say accessing some riverine communities may pose logistical challenges that could delay result transmission from those areas.
