The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three suspected vote buyers during the ongoing governorship election in Anambra State.
The News Chronicle gathered that those arrested include Emeka Ilokasia, picked up at Ward 2, Njikoka LGA; Nwachukwu Loretta, apprehended at Ward 2 (008), Awkuzu, Oyi LGA; and Emuka Chuwudi, caught at Umunachi village, Dunukofia LGA.
The anti-graft agency confirmed the arrests in a statement on its official Facebook page, saying the suspects were apprehended while the election was still in progress on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the EFCC stated.
