Fire Engulfs LP Natl Chairman’s Residence In Abuja Amid Assassination Attempt

The opposition Labour Party (LP) has stated that the residence of its National Chairman, Julius Abure was gutted by fire on Wednesday, April 3 2024.

The party equally alleged that there was an assassination attempt on Abure.

According to the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Obiora Ifoh noted that Abure’s residence was “gutted by a mysterious fire which started a few minutes after 1am while Abure and the members of his family were asleep.”

A statement by a family member of the LP chairman reads in parts, “The entire family was trapped as the inferno had reached the staircase making it impossible for Abure and family to escape.

However, it took divine intervention for the national chairman and his family to escape after neighbors and security men gallantly pulled down one of the windows upstairs making ways for the family to escape.

Men of the Fire Service arrived shortly after Abure and his family were rescued.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that Abure and his family reported to have been in a stable condition, were rushed to a private hospital where they are presently been attended to.
