Euros 2024: Spain Wins Title by Defeating England

The Spanish team clinched the 2024 Euros title by defeating the English national team 2-1 in the final held in Germany.

Brilliant Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal was voted Young Player of the Tournament while Manchester City midfielder Rodri was crowned the Player of the Tournament.

First Half:

The first half was filled with intriguing moments between the two nations. Spain dominated ball possession with 65% compared to England’s 35%. Both teams pushed to break the deadlock, with England taking 3 shots on goal and Spain 5. However, the half ended without any goals.

Second Half:

Atletico Bilbao forward Nico Williams broke the deadlock just a minute into the second half, giving Spain the lead and fueling their dream of another Euros title. England responded with Cole Palmer’s sublime equalizer, but their hopes were dashed when Mikel Oyarzabal scored a late goal, sealing Spain’s victory.

Spain maintained a 100% win record in the tournament.

England’s 58-year quest for the title continues, while Spain boasts a perfect record of winning all 23 finals they have played against non-Spanish teams.
