COAS inaugurates solar-powered computer lab at GGSS Charanchi, Kano

—

On March 2, 2024, Lieutenant General TA Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, officially opened a brand-new computer lab at Government Girls Secondary School Charanchi in Bichi Local Government Area, Kano State.

This special project was made possible through the Chief of Army Staff Special Intervention Civil-Military Cooperation Project led by Major General UB Abubakar.

The Chief of Army Staff couldn’t make it in person, so he sent Major General NC Ugbo, the Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, to represent him.

The lab is super modern, boasting 25 computers, an office with a restroom, and it runs on solar power. Plus, it’s hooked up to high-speed internet!

Major General UB Abubakar, the mastermind behind the project, expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff and reminded the school’s principal to take good care of the lab.

The project keys were handed over to the principal, and everyone got souvenirs and took lots of group photos.

Loads of important folks showed up, including Brigadier General MA Sadiq, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, Rabiu Usman Bichi, the former Kano State Secretary to State Government, the Chairman of Bichi Local Government Area, and leaders from the community.
