Zion, a 26-year-old contestant on Big Brother Naija’s ‘No Loose Guard’ season, recently opened up about his relationship with his girlfriend and show partner, Chinwe, who is 30. Surprisingly, he admitted that Chinwe isn’t his “ideal” woman.
In a candid conversation with fellow housemate Fairme on Thursday, Zion explained that while Chinwe may not be his usual type, she treats him far better than the women he’s typically attracted to.
“Chinwe is a very mature woman,” Zion shared. “She’s the firstborn in her family, takes care of her siblings, and even though her mother has passed away and her dad has remarried, she manages everything really well.”
Zion went on to describe how thoughtful and caring Chinwe is. “Whenever I visit her, she cooks up a storm, making sure I have enough to eat, and even prepares meals that would make me want to stay the night, which I usually avoid doing. She’s always making sure I’m comfortable, even hiring a cook and a cleaner sometimes.”
He admitted that although Chinwe doesn’t fit his usual “type,” which he described as being more about physical appearance, he’s starting to appreciate the qualities she brings to the relationship. “I’ve dated my ‘type’ before, but they never treated me like this,” he confessed.
Fairme agreed, adding, “It’s not just about looks. How a woman treats a man really matters.”
Zion acknowledged this, saying, “Exactly, how you treat a man is important.”
The discussion also touched on generational differences, with Zion sharing his experiences dating Gen Z women. “I’ve dated Gen Z women before, and while some are great, others can be more stressful,” he said.
Interestingly, Chinwe recently revealed during a disagreement with Zion that she had “sponsored” him to participate in the show. This adds another layer to their relationship, highlighting the complexities of love, loyalty, and practicality in their partnership.
