Bauchi govt earmarks N10 million for fumigation against COVID-19

The Bauchi State Government has earmarked N10 million for fumigation against coronavirus pandemic in the state.

The State Commissioner for Environment and Housing, Honourable Hamisu Muazu Shira announced this on Friday while briefing Newsmen at the commencement of the exercise at the main entrance of the Government House Bauchi.

The Commissioner explained that the five days spread exercise was designed to be conducted in strategic locations within the Bauchi metropolis.

“We are here today to begin the fumigation spray against the COVID-19 pandemic in the state. The government of Senator Bala Mohammed has supported us to conduct this exercise. He has assured us of all the necessary logistics needed in this exercise to keep the citizens from this deadly virus.”

“The exercise will be extended to other parts of the state as part government’s efforts to curtail the spread of the virus. Already, over 300 personnel have been provided for the exercise so far. I am calling for the stakeholders support to ensure its success” he said
