Army Intercepts Truckload of Ammunition Disguised as Waybills in Maiduguri

—

The Nigerian Army has intercepted a truck loaded with sacks of ammunition disguised as waybills.

The driver, reportedly traveling from Maiduguri to other parts of the country, was allegedly aided by a soldier whose identity has not been disclosed.

A security source shared the video with The News Chronicle on Thursday morning.

Authorities have since urged security personnel at checkpoints to remain on high alert amid concerns that arms are being distributed to towns and villages.
