Anambra First Lady to distribute 5,000 packs of hybrid non-GMO seed to boost crop yield

—

Anambra First Lady, Mrs Nonye Soludo, over the weekend, announced plans to commence the distribution of 5,000 packs of Hybrid Non-GMO seeds to aid farmers’ yield.

In a press statement she released on her Facebook page, Mrs Soludo said the plan was to encourage Anambra people who desire to own a household garden.

She said: “As the annual rainy season farming begins, I am delighted to once again, support and encourage passionate individuals in Anambra State who desire to own a household garden or embrace subsistence farming through the distribution of 5000 packs of Hybrid Non-GMO seeds to passionate and interested individuals.

“Each pack contains carefully selected seeds, including corn, green vegetables, cabbage, pepper, tomatoes, and okra, to help individuals and families grow organic and healthy foods right from their homes and communities.

“As I always explain, I strongly believe that embracing home gardening is not only a step towards Healthy Living, but also a practical pathway to food sufficiency and economic support for every household.

“Together, let’s cultivate healthier homes, greener communities, and a more food-secure Anambra State. We can do that. I strongly believe that we can! Embrace this opportunity.”

Mrs Soludo stated that details of the distribution process will be made public to help those genuinely interested in getting the seeds.
