Zulum okays cash, food for CJTF, hunters, others

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has given approval for aid packages that include money and food to be given to volunteers who are helping to fight against Boko Haram alongside the military and other security groups in Bama town.

More than 810 volunteers from three different groups received cash and food donations, including rice and maize grain, which were approved by Governor Zulum.

The governor made this announcement while speaking to the leaders and members of the volunteer groups at the Shehu of Bama’s place, Umar Ibn Shehu Kyari Ibn Umar Elkanemi, on Monday.

Zulum often provides support to the military, police, Civilian Joint Task Force volunteers, hunters, and vigilantes when he visits local government headquarters and rural areas.

The governor praised the volunteers for the sacrifices they make and promised that the government will continue to support them to ensure peace and security.

“We know how hard you work to help the military fight against insurgency and other crimes. We appreciate you and want you to keep up the good work,” said Zulum.

He added, “The government of Borno State will always support you. Your well-being is important to us, and we won’t abandon you. Rest assured, the government will stand by you.”

Zulum explained that his ongoing support is a way of thanking the volunteers for their sacrifices in helping the military and other security forces fight against insurgents.
