Where is Anayo!

Where is Anyayo ? Silence and quietude have enveloped him. Overwhelmed and swallowed, not even the signature tune of my people! My people!! Could make his relevance evergreen. Life is transient, take it as permanent and act as if it is so, like a humpty dumpty that sits on the wall, one falls.

Where is Anayo? Where has he been? No sound of him anywhere lately. Not even his “Iberibeism” slang could give him a monumental presence in the public space. Like a morning dew under the heat of a sun it disappeared.

Where is Anayo? He trended years ago, his Akpuola gi( Have you been crafted) slang which gave him so much visibility in the social media is now extinct. Where is Anayo? For eight years he bestrode the economy of Imo State with his well curved and sharped slim knife, sliced and shared it as he willed. He demolished houses, markets etc and reallocated them to either himself or his cronies. He built road, poorly done, making them worse and unmotorable thereafter. Where is Anayo? The man with a muffler on the neck?

He was early this year one of the APC presidential aspirants. He stood, spoke as usual in an eloquent manner. How many votes did he get ? That is how a joke he has become. Where is Anayo?

Life is transient! Vanity if you like. He reigned! At the centre of Imo State he stood and terrorised many. Where is Anayo?

This world isn’t anybody’ one comes, plays the role they choose and off they fizzle off. Nobody dominates the stage in perpetuatity. Dominance and visibility of any kind are for a while. What one does with it while it lasts determines the place of one in history. In the history of Imo State where will Anayo be? He was everywhere at a time, trying to turn Imo State into his personal and family business. The cruise was too much he forgot that a word called transiency exists in the dictionary.

Where is Anayo? Nobody is ourselves ( Nnam oha) . There is always time to become and time to go. Time to feel overwhelmingly powerful and time to be as powerless as a dead lion.

The roars gone, the aura gone and the feline gait diminished, laying helpless and lifeless .

Where is Anayo? He wasn’t humble. He forgot easily where he was coming from and the kind of stick with which he was carved. He thought he struck a goldmine and would possibly continue mining till eternity. He was arrogant! Uncivil and very flippant. I will keep asking this question until I get a good answer to it. Where is Anyayo?

To all that think that Imo State is theirs, their patrimony, their heritage which they can afford to do however they so desire, the question where is Anayo could possibly strike some sense in them. One could in same light of the transiency of things ask where is Baba? He thought it wouldn’t end. But it did. Very desperate for it. Did all manner of harm, carried himself with a deep sense of nepotism. Today where is Baba? The sirens, the honor, reverence, deference, etc gone and fizzled like dews under the sun, like he never experienced such.

Such is life, hold unto it like a cylinder of a life giving oxygen, death wouldn’t be far off it . Where is Baba? Power is crazy. It takes one to a height, injects intoxication in their veins ,makes them mad with the opium it gives and when it leaves one, to the bottom of power and authority it dumps, with almost those around you who before now with ready made accolades to dish out, scampering off for another at the helm. Permanent interest if you like. Where’s Baba? Same way, one would one day ask where is Bola? Where is Wike? The conquerer, the lion they seem today, tomorrow they may look like a water drenched fowl in a chilly weather.

Power and authority are very flexible and unreliable. Same way it intoxicate one to be inhuman, callous and irresponsible, same way it will bring same down, uplift another, making the former enjoy same dish of callousness they served others.

Be humble in power and authority for that with which you give others might be the reward due you in your powerless mode.

Where is Anayochukwu? ( Keep asking for God’s help) If only he understood what that name means, probably he would have realised the powerlessness of man even in power and authority. There are limits to human power. It is not eternal. One day, it ends and the paraphernalia that comes with it gone.

The flow of innocent blood, the cry of intimidation due to the inhuman wielding of the rod of power, their repercussions they will surely get.

The feeling of Almighty and intrigues to rig all elections may be profitable today, tommorow has its wrapped packaged of consequences.

Mbakwe was there. Today he is in the past. Only his memories keep him alive in the heart of people. There will always be memories of ones time in office. The position certainly will go, but the memories live on.

Same way we ask where is Anyayo, we will one day ask where are those who think Imo State is presently their family creamy cake.

Time hardly forgets. It saves, when lest expected it pups up with narrative.

November 11th is just 9 days away. Where will Hope, Jack, Achonu, Sam daddy etc be after 11th Nov? Tell me which of them will win the election and I will tell you exactly who you are.

What the out come of this election will be is gradually becoming very unpredictable. The pendulum is swinging. It swings either ways, where it will eventually settles remains just a guess. The hoteliers in Imo state will be smiling to the bank now. Remember posterity has a very unusual way of paying back. One day the question will be where was the money you took to sabotage fair and credible process. Hope you will get good answer when it is asked?
