WhatsApp Hits New Milestone in the U.S

—

Tech mogul, Mark Zuckerberg has announced that WhatsApp now boasts over 100 million monthly active users in the U.S.
This marks the first time the company has disclosed user statistics specific to the U.S. market.
Globally, WhatsApp has a staggering 2 billion monthly active users, with its largest user base in India, which has over 500 million users. Brazil and Indonesia follow as the next largest markets.
In the U.S., over 50% of WhatsApp users are iPhone owners.
To boost its presence and appeal in the American market, WhatsApp has ramped up its marketing efforts.
The company has launched several ad campaigns and TV spots emphasizing the platform’s privacy features and end-to-end encryption.
Recent marketing initiatives include a national campaign featuring stars from “Modern Family.”
Additionally, Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company, has been highlighting the differences between WhatsApp and Apple’s iMessage, as well as Rich Communication Services (RCS).
Features such as polls, high-quality video calling, and reactions are being showcased as key benefits.
