Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, has disclosed plans to take social media influencers to the frontline of military operations to enable them witness firsthand the successes being recorded by troops against bandits and other criminal elements.
The Defence Minister stated that the initiative is aimed at providing influencers with an opportunity to see the realities on the ground and help disseminate accurate information about the achievements of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
According to General Musa, many of the military’s victories against armed groups are not widely known, leading to misconceptions among the public.
