US Firm Vows to Pursue Tinubu Over Alleged 1980s, 1990s Drug Links

A United States based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten Montague York, has renewed its threat against Nigerian President Bola Tinubu over alleged links to drug trafficking.

The firm made the statement in a post on its verified X handle, declaring that it was “coming for” President Tinubu.

According to the firm, its founder, Dr. Von Batten, recently met with members of the United States Congress and senior state government officials during the Republican National Midterm Convention.

It said the meetings included discussions with Virginia Representative John McGuire and Indiana official Diego Morales, whom it described as strong defenders of American liberty.

Von Batten-Montague York claimed that Dr. Von Batten briefed the officials on alleged Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) records concerning President Tinubu.

The firm alleged that Tinubu was linked to a criminal organisation involved in smuggling heroin from Nigeria into the United States during the 1980s and 1990s.

It further alleged that proceeds from the drug trade were laundered through several banks, including financial institutions in Virginia.

The firm said Virginia lawmakers and Indiana officials were particularly important to its campaign because, according to its interpretation of court records, the alleged trafficking network moved heroin into Chicago and Indiana.

“We have a message for President Bola Tinubu and his enablers. We are coming for you,” the firm said.

It added that those who allegedly harm Americans could not “outrun American justice,” comparing the issue to the pursuit of perpetrators and enablers of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

“The war against Nigerian Narco terrorists has no expiration date,” the firm stated.

The allegations remain claims by the lobbying firm and should not be taken as proof of criminal wrong doing by President Tinubu.
