UBEC Partners with Digital Learning Network to Transform Basic Education

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), under the leadership of Executive Secretary Aisha Garba, has signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital Learning Network to revolutionize basic education in Nigeria through innovative digital learning solutions.

The strategic partnership is designed to enhance access to quality education, improve teacher capacity, and boost student engagement by leveraging technology-driven platforms and interactive digital content.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, UBEC’s Deputy Executive Secretary (Services), Tunde Segun Ajibulu, mni, described the collaboration as a milestone in driving the Commission’s mandate of providing inclusive and equitable education for every Nigerian child.

Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Learning Network, Mr. Thomas Larmena, accompanied by his team, expressed his commitment to working closely with UBEC to create scalable solutions that will improve learning outcomes and prepare students for success in a digital world.

According to UBEC, the initiative will provide millions of Nigerian children with access to quality learning opportunities, particularly in underserved communities, thereby bridging the digital divide and laying a foundation for future-ready education.

“Education for all is the responsibility of all,” the Commission emphasized in a statement issued by its Department of Corporate Communications.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by members of UBEC’s management team, senior officials, and representatives of the Digital Learning Network, underscoring the significance of this partnership in shaping the future of basic education in Nigeria.
