Sunday Reflections

Rev Vitalis
  1. Jesus went up to Jerusalem. He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money changers seated there. He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves he said, “Take these out of here, and stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.”(Jn2). Taken from this sunday’s gospel.

  1. Jesus knew how much business in religion can distort the image of God. His anger at those who turned the temple to market place and den of robbers shows how serious such abuse is before God. His anger was such that he even flogged people out of the temple.

  1. You may have experienced using the name of God to make money. You may have been a victim of such robbery. Today Jesus gives you an example to follow. Neither authorise not accomplished such acts. @Vita, Sunday, 07/03/22.
