An elder statesman and Convener of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Edwin Clark, has berated the F.C.T Minister, Nyesom Wike, for the political chaos in Rivers Stat.
Clark ventilated his views during an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday 20th December 2023.
The elder statesman maintained that the the FCT Minister had led five lawmakers in 2013 to impeach the then Rivers state speaker.
The Ijaw leader expressed shock on why the same Wike should be arguing that the same five lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly today are not constitutional.
He stated further that Wike is a contradicting fellow adding that the immediate past governor of Rivers state does not believe in one thing.
He said that the same Wike in 2013 led five members of the House of Assembly under the leadership of Michael Chinda during Amaechi’ reign as governor of the state.
“He was supported by the presidency so they had the security among them. Five of them went to impeach the speaker, Hon. Amachree and eventually went to impeach Amaechi. He added.
Clark admonished that for the sake of peace, Wike must desist from intimidating Rivers state Governor, Siminialayi Fubara.
