Sowore, 4 others granted N20m bail each

A Magistrates’ court sitting in Wuse Zone II, Abuja, has admitted Omoyele Sowore, and four others bail in the sum of N20 million each.

Recall that Sowore was arrested alongside other activists for leading a protest against bad governance in the early hours on New Year’s Eve in the nation’s capital.

Following the development, the police had arraigned the five of them on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and incitement.

Also, the magistrate, Mabel Segun-Bello had ordered that they be remanded at the Kuje correctional centre.

However, the Magistrates’ court sitting in Wuse Zone II, Abuja, on Monday admitted the convener of the Revolution Now Movement and the four others to bail in the sum of N20 million each.
