Shettima in Rivers to Commission Fubara’s 33.5km Road Project

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday arrived in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to commission the newly reconstructed 33.5-kilometre Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Dual Carriageway.

Shettima was received at the Port Harcourt International Airport by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, former Deputy Governor Tele Ikuru, Senator John Mbata, Chief Oris Onyiri, Dr Sam Sam Jaja and other senior government officials.

The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Dagogo Wokoma, described the road project as a testament to Fubara’s commitment to addressing the developmental needs of residents.

Wokoma said the dual carriageway was among the major infrastructure projects delivered by the Fubara administration to improve road connectivity and stimulate economic activities across the state.

He added that the project would enhance movement of people and goods while supporting economic growth in communities along the route.
