Sharon Ooja Announces Birth of Baby Boy, Reveals Meaning Behind ‘W.I.N’

Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja and her husband, Ugo Nwoke, have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

The actress announced the birth in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, where she expressed gratitude to God and thanked her husband, family, and friends for supporting her throughout the pregnancy.

“I just gave birth to the most handsome baby boy I have ever seen. I’m still so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude,” she wrote.

Sharon said becoming a mother marked a new chapter in her life, adding that pregnancy gave her a deeper understanding of love and faith.

“2025/2026… God truly ushered me into the most beautiful years of my life and wrote a story that only He can take the glory for,” she said.

The actress also appreciated her husband for standing by her during the pregnancy.

“Thank you for loving me so fiercely, beautifully, through every stage of our pregnancy. The prayers, reassurance, back rubs, trips, baths, endless gifts, food runs, and the way you carried me emotionally and spiritually these past nine months,” she wrote.

She revealed that their son’s initials are “W.I.N” and added, “I’ve always dreamed of being a mummy… and now I finally am.”

The couple got married in June 2024 in a series of ceremonies that included a civil wedding, a traditional wedding, and a white wedding attended by family members, colleagues, and friends from the entertainment industry.

Since their marriage, Sharon and Ugo have largely kept their relationship private, with the actress saying she intentionally stayed away from social media during her pregnancy.

“Thank you to my family and friends for protecting our peace and allowing this journey to stay private,” she wrote.

Following the announcement, several celebrities, including Veekee James, Adesua Etomi, Tiwa Savage, Funke Akindele, and Don Jazzy, congratulated the couple on social media.
