At least four persons have tragically lost their lives, and three others are currently receiving medical treatment at the Bingham University Teaching Hospital.
This is as a result of a speeding trailer transporting cattle at the Gada Biu flyover bridge in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.
An eyewitness, Amos Ebenezer, told newsmen that the accident which occurred around 2:31 am, also resulted in the death of over 30 cows.
He also noted that the driver appeared to be unfamiliar with the road, driving at high speed and failing to navigate a bend and ultimately losing control of the vehicle.
It was gathered that a vigilante simply identified as James alongside the eyewitness assisted the survivors, transporting them to the nearest health facility, while some individuals remained trapped at the scene.
Efforts to obtain a statement from the Federal Road Safety Corps were unsuccessful, as they declined to comment at press time.
