The spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to the quality of locally made guns that were recently uncovered in a gun factory in Jos, the Plateau state capital.Â
A statement earlier issued by Adejobi, noted that the police recently uncovered a factory in Kuru, Jos, Plateau state where rifles are fabricated. The Police PRO revealed that a total of 2 Ak-47 rifles, 9 automatic pistols, and 1,800 rounds of live ammunition were recovered.
In a post on his X handle, Adejobi who shared photos of the recovered rifles, added that the men who produced the illegal arms are talented and that government needs to work with them.
The police spokesperson also noted that the ammunitions can kill just as the legally produced ones.
