No Vacancy: APC informs Yahaya Bello’s supporters

The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have issued a stern warning to supporters of the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, cautioning them against causing confusion within the party.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, conveyed this message during a press conference held at the national secretariat on Tuesday.

There has been a flurry of rumors circulating on online platforms and social media suggesting Yahaya Bello’s interest in the leadership position of the party, just 48 hours after handing over the reins to Governor Usman Ododo.

Posters featuring the former governor have appeared prominently in the streets of Abuja, notably around the national secretariat of the ruling party.

Following a meeting of the National Working Committee, Morka emphasized that the position of the APC national chairman, purportedly sought by Bello’s supporters, is presently occupied by a former governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

Morka clarified, “There is no vacancy in the office of the APC National Chairman. Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje remains our chairman. ”

This is a democracy where people do what they want. We have total confidence in the leadership of the party. ”

But, make no mistake because the office of the national chairman is properly and fully occupied. Nobody is asking for that office to be declared vacant, and it is not vacant.

“I will want to warn those who are throwing these papers around to desist from doing that. That is not our priority right now.

We need to concentrate on the job that needs to be done to solve some of the problems that will make our country a better place for all of us.”

In essence, the APC leadership emphasized the current occupancy of the national chairman position and urged supporters to focus on addressing pressing issues rather than engaging in speculative activities related to party leadership changes.
