Nigerian Air Force nabs notorious kidnapper Isah Abdul in Kano

Troops from the Nigerian Air Force based in Durbunde, located in Takai Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State, successfully captured a well-known kidnapper named Isah Abdul, who is 35 years old.

The operation happened on February 19, 2024, around 6:30 in the evening. It was carried out because the military had received reliable information about where the kidnapper and his group were hiding.

Abdul is notorious for his involvement in many kidnapping cases in the region. Initial investigations have connected him to the abduction of Yakubu Ibrahim Tagaho, also known as “Sarkin Noman Gaya,” which occurred on April 6, 2023.

The victim, Sarkin Noman Gaya, was taken from his home in Tagaho Village, Takai LGA, and was only released a month later after a ransom of N30,000,000 was paid.

In December 2023, Abdul was part of the group that abducted two sisters and three others from the same village. They were only released after a significant ransom was paid.

Abdul is known to have ties with other notorious kidnapping gangs, such as the Danbul Fulaku gang, which operates in Takai LGA.

According to Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, who is the spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force, Abdul is currently being held by the Air Force for further investigation.

Gabkwet mentioned that Abdul will eventually be handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings to take place.
