Modibbo Adama University graduates 5,545, with 53 achieving first-class honors

Modibbo Adama University Yola, recently celebrated its 28th convocation ceremony on Saturday May 3, 2024, where a total of 5,545 students graduated, Among them were 53 students who achieved first-class honors.

 

Prof. Abdullahi Tukur, the Vice Chancellor, announced the breakdown of graduates, 458 Diploma candidates, 4,282 Bachelor’s Degree recipients, 41 Postgraduate Diploma awardees, 630 Masters Degrees, and 134 Ph.Ds.

 

The Vice Chancellor assured the graduates that their certificates were ready for collection.

 

“Let me use this medium to assure the graduating students that your certificates are ready for collection as always the tradition of the institution.”

 

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by his Deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of hard work for continued success.

 

The outgoing Vice Chancellor was commended for overseeing three convocations in five years despite challenges like strikes and the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The university’s Chancellor, Okuku Adiaka III, praised the achievements not only of the graduates but also of the university’s management and staff.

 

He urged the graduates to contribute to the country’s development and thanked parents and guardians for their support
