Manchester City Goalkeeper Ederson out for Remainder of the Season

Manchester City has confirmed that first choice goalkeeper, Ederson will miss the remainder of the season due to a fracture of his eyes’ socket. 

Ederson who started the stringent tie against Tottenham on Tuesday at the White Hart Lane was subbed off in the 69th minute and replaced by German shot stopper Stefan Ortega.

Ederson who furious hitting the water bottles repeatedly when he left the pitch in the game they won 2-0, a decisive victory that may have just guided the Cityzen to their fourth consecutive title under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, becoming the first Premier League side to reach that feat in history.

“Manchester City can confirm that Ederson will miss the final two games of the season due to a small fracture of his eye socket.

The Brazilian goalkeeper suffered the injury during our 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday evening. He has since undergone scans of the affected area that have revealed a small fracture to the right eye socket.”

“The injury will prevent Ederson from playing any further part in the remaining games of the 2023/24 season.
