Man Arrested For Beheading Lover In Bayelsa

Kabeama, a riverine community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has been greeted with a heartbreaking incident over the weekend when a man, simply identified as Tony, allegedly beheaded his girlfriend.

 

Neighboring residents who uncovered the beheaded body of the deceased at dawn, revealed that Ebibraladei was reportedly murdered by her lover in the early hours of Saturday 3 February.

 

It was gathered that Tony was reportedly arrested by residents and later handed over to the police before he could abscond.

 

As of press time, the lifeless body of the deceased has since been deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Beyelsa state.

 

A resident who confided to journalist on the condition of anonymity noted further; “We don’t know what happened between the two lovers that would make him cut off the head of his girlfriend and mother of his child.

 

“The two of them were quiet and easy-going. We are at a loss as to what went wrong. The headless corpse of the lady was evacuated and deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa while the arrested boyfriend is in custody of the police in Yenagoa.

 

Meanwhile, the Police spokesman in Bayelsa State, ASP Musa Muhammed, who confirmed the matter, assured that the command would issue a statement on the incident.
