Kwankwaso Worked for Tinubu in 2023, Still Working for Him Behind the Scene- Kano Governor’s Aide Alleges

—

The spokesperson to Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, Sanusi Bature, has alleged that former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso is politically positioning himself in ways that ultimately favour President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, suggesting that his recent alliances and moves may not be what they appear on the surface.

In an interview with AriseNews monitored by The News Chronicle, Bature argued that Kwankwaso’s political trajectory has consistently aligned, directly or indirectly, with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), despite his current opposition posture.

He specifically claimed that Kwankwaso’s activities, including the emerging alignment with former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, should be viewed through the lens of broader strategic positioning.

“There are those who are working for Tinubu openly, and there also those working for him behind the scene. Whatever Kwankwaso is doing is going to work for Tinubu in 2027. Kwankwaso has worked for the APC in 2023. I believe that Kwankwaso is also working for Tinubu in 2027 behind the scene.” He added.
