Kate Henshaw’s Comments on Topless Scene With Daniel Etim-Effiong Divides Fans

Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has triggered reactions on social media after sharing details about filming an intimate scene with actor Daniel Etim-Effiong in Blood Sisters Season 2, saying communication and professionalism made the experience comfortable for both actors.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the 53-year-old actress explained that she and Etim-Effiong discussed their comfort levels before shooting the scene.

“I had a conversation with Daniel about the sex scene, ‘How far are you comfortable?’ And he said, ‘Sis, no problem,'” Henshaw said.

She revealed that she appeared topless during filming and praised her co-star for maintaining a professional attitude throughout the production.

“I was topless with him. At no point did Daniel get an erection; he’s a good boy,” she added.

The remarks quickly circulated across social media.

Some viewers agreed with Henshaw’s emphasis on professionalism. One commenter wrote, “Daniel is professional; leave all the controversy surrounding him online because even women will rise to the occasion as the norm.” Another added, “It’s Kate; everyone is laughing.”

Others appreciated her sense of humor. One user commented, “Aunty Kate is effortlessly funny. I love the fact that she referred to her character in the third person.”

However, many users questioned whether the actress should have shared such personal details about a colleague.

“This is cringe. I’m sure Daniel will be ashamed to read this news about himself,” one person wrote.

Another user commented, “There are some conversations you shouldn’t be found having in public, especially if it’s condescending on the parties involved.”

Several people argued that the absence of a physical reaction should not be linked to professionalism or morality.

One commenter wrote, “Even if he got an erection, it doesn’t make him less strict or a bad boy. That thing has a mind of its own.”

Another added, “Having an erection is completely different from morals.”

Some users suggested that the discussion was unnecessary altogether.

“…why is this type of information making headlines? Why is this even something she should talk about?” one person asked.

Another wrote, “Because we didn’t ask you and we never even thought about it.”

Others pointed to the realities of film production, noting that intimate scenes are filmed in front of directors, camera operators and crew members.

“How was he supposed to have an erection with the crowd in the recording room?” one commenter asked.

The discussion comes as Blood Sisters Season 2 continues to attract attention following its June 2026 release on Netflix.
