Collins Whitworth, a civil engineering student at Bayero University Kano in his fourth year, recently achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing the existing record for the most faces painted by an individual in a span of 24 hours.
His ambitious endeavor took place at the new site of the Bayero University Campus in Kano, commencing at 5:00 pm on a Saturday and concluding on Sunday.
Throughout this challenging task, Whitworth displayed resilience and dedication, managing to paint an impressive total of 791 faces within the stipulated 24-hour period.
As of now, he eagerly awaits confirmation from the Guinness World Record, with hopes of officially being recognized as the new record holder in this unique category.
The ambitious face painter, whose initial target was set at 720 faces, aimed to surpass the previous record of 700 faces held by an individual. Notably, the Guinness World Record had assigned him a target of 705 faces.
Whitworth’s achievement not only exceeded these expectations but also showcased the tremendous support he received from fellow students and Kano residents who turned out in substantial numbers to offer moral encouragement.
