The Kano State Police Command has apprehended a man named James Ismail on charges of culpable homicide, which resulted in the tragic death of an individual at Fas Agro Sacks Company in Sharada, Gwale Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Hussaini Gumel, revealed this information on Sunday, stating that the incident occurred at a factory in Sharada.
Around 8:30 am, the police received a distress call reporting a problem at Fas Agro Sacks Company.
Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer from Sharada led a team to the scene.
It was discovered that a confrontation had taken place between two employees of the company, namely Tukur Adamu (32 years old) and James Ismail (32 years old).
During the altercation, Tukur Adamu fell and was urgently taken to the hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed his unfortunate demise.
The Commissioner of Police further explained that the incident triggered an uproar within the company and the surrounding community.
Police officers worked diligently to identify and apprehend the assailant, James Ismail. Subsequently, a large group of thugs took advantage of the situation, engaging in looting and attempting to set the company ablaze.
In response, law enforcement managed to arrest 13 individuals involved in the violent incident.
The Commissioner emphasized the commitment of the police force to safeguarding the sanctity of life and ensuring justice for those affected by such heinous acts.
He assured that the arrested suspect, James Ismail, would undergo a thorough investigation and be brought to court, underscoring the determination to ensure justice prevails in the case.
