Heavily armed bandits attacked Government Science Secondary School in Raka, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, on Saturday night. During the attack, a teacher was killed, and an unknown number of people were abducted.
The destruction of school property and the abduction of staff and students can have long-lasting effects on access to education, especially in northern states where such violent attacks are becoming more common.
