Josh2Funny Talks Competition and Originality in Nigerian Comedy

Ace comedian Chibuike Josh Alfred, known as Josh2Funny, recently discussed the competitive nature of the Nigerian comedy and content-creating scene.

He mentioned that claims of no competition in the industry are just misleading. Despite this, Josh2Funny believes he stands out in comedy. His skits are even translated into languages like Mandarin, Hindi, Russian, and French.

He also expressed frustration with some colleagues who copy his work without giving him credit. On the ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, he said, “I don’t accept people copying my ideas without acknowledging me. There is definitely competition in comedy.”

In short, Josh2Funny feels he’s unique in the industry and that his international success sets him apart.
