Nigerian singer Jaywon has accused rapper Odumodublvck of using his name to stay relevant in the music industry.
According to Jaywon, the ‘Declan Rice’ hitmaker thrives on mentioning him to keep the spotlight on himself.
The two artists have been at odds since their social media feud in 2024, which prompted Jaywon to release a diss track aimed at Odumodublvck. However, in a recent interview with Hip TV, Odumodublvck dismissed the beef as mere banter, claiming they are on good terms.
“Forget that banter, Jaywon is my guy. I really love Jaywon,” Odumodublvck said. He then threw shade by adding that Jaywon only becomes relevant once a year when he’s booked to perform his iconic New Year anthem, This Year.
Jaywon didn’t take kindly to the remarks. He responded on his X handle, calling out Odumodublvck for constantly bringing him up in interviews. Jaywon alleged that the rapper’s reliance on their feud is proof of his inability to trend without him.
“Odumodu will always mention my name in his interviews because that’s the only way he stays relevant,” Jaywon wrote. He also downplayed their feud, insisting his earlier comments about Odumodublvck not being “all that” were simply facts, not beef.
In a series of tweets, Jaywon urged Odumodublvck to focus on his own career rather than fixating on him. He added, “Or is it that you just can’t handle the fact that I’ll always be relevant because of that one single you keep coming for?”
